A physically challenged lady known as Ruth Matthew took her 4 children in the company of her step-daughter to Prophet Jeremiah Omotofufeyin of Christ Mercyland and Deliverance Ministry in Effurun in Warri, Delta State for miracles. He found out that there were discrepancies in Ruth's story which made him to drop the case.

Otokoto - The deadliest ritualist in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria
Owerri, the capital of Imo State is such a peaceful conservative city known for civil service and academia in contrast to its neighbouring commerce oriented city of Aba. In early 90s, there was an influx of wealthy habitants displaying superlative expensive cars and mansions with unknown source of wealth. Most of them claimed to own successful businesses including Otokoto hotel when their actual source of income remained mysterious. The supposed new rich guys in town were notorious disturbing the neighbourhood and constituting menace to the lives of Owerri residents. In 1995, the children of prominent Owerri residents went missing and this provoked the 1996 Otokoto riots; series of spontaneous protests and looting in Owerri for over 2 days.

Origin of Igbo Folklore
Igbo folklore is a body of expressive culture, customs, traditional beliefs, and stories of Igbo people passed through the generations by word of mouth. Late Mike Ejeagha, a Nigerian guitarist from Imezi Owa in Enugu State mastered and popularised this act of story telling in Igbo language in the 60s. He is a great storyteller laced with Igbo proverbs accompanied by guitar style.

Miss Nigeria Pageant
This is an annual pageant which showcases Nigerian culture and the positive attributes of Nigerian women. This is the reason why everything about the pageant is carefully put together to reflect Nigerian culture starting from the venue of the show to the dressing of the contestant. Some winners are awarded scholarships or good money and cars. Normally each state in Nigeria present a contestant to represent the state. The emerging winner portrays the exemplary qualities and services as a role model for young women in the country though Nigeria being a religious country frowns at the show due to the events that leads to the selection of the winner.
The pageant is organised by Daily Times owned by Fidelis Anosike though recently partnered with Audrey Silva firm run by Rita Dominic, Nollywood actress and producer together with Mildred Okwo, well-known film director. They hope to use Miss Nigeria platform to transition into empowerment trust for young women.
How Nigerians view Beauty contest
The participants show up in the pageant dressing in different attires such as swim suit popularly known as bikinis, cultural attires, and sexy evening gowns. However, some Nigerians do not like how they expose their body in bikinis saying that they are half-naked and as young single ladies lodged in hotels that they are not good enough to to be in a decent relationship hence some men avoid marrying beauty queens in the past.
But today, a lot has changed that some men today go for beauty queens though not every man has what it takes to settle down with a beauty queen. I ca remember when an 18-year old hijab model Shatu Garko when representated the North-West region won inn 2021 making her the first muslim winner. Her victory was opposed by hisbah police in Kano State, a purist Muslim group in Northern Nigeria critising her participation and describing her actions as illegal and a bad example to young Muslim girls and her parents were invited for questioning. All these did not stop Garko, she intends to make social impact with her position to focus on eliminating period poverty.
The First Miss Nigeria, 1957
Grace Atinuke is the first Miss Nigeria queen at the age of 26, born on the 16th November, 1931 in Sabon Gari, Kano State of Nigeria by James Oyelude and Martha Dantu of Isanlu from Kogi State. Grace was brought up in Northern Nigeria, had her primary and secondary education in Kano between 1940 and 1952. After which she started working with United African Company, UAC. In 1957, she represented then the Northern region at the Miss Nigeria grande finale while working at UAC. Her brother submitted her photograph to pageant organisers at Daily Times because previously Miss Nigeria pageant used to be a photo contest in 1957. The contestants submitted photographs to the publication's office in Lagos. The finalists were shortlisted and the successful ones invited to compete in the live final at Lagos Island Club. This was the time Nigerian Printing and Publishing Company publishers of national newspaper Daily Times owned by Folio communications established Miss Nigeria franchise. During that period, the contest did not include a swim suit competition.
Grace Oyelude won the maiden edition of Miss Nigeria and used her 200 pounds cash prize to travel to England and enrol in Nursing school in Kent, United Kingdom where she qualified as a nurse in 1961 and subsequently gained a mid-wifery qualification in 1962 from St. Thomas' Hospital London. She also obtained a Diploma in Nursing and Hospital administration from Royal College of Nursing, England in 1971. Oyelude worked with several hospitals including Paddington General Hospital before returning to Nigeria where she worked with Kaduna General Hospital between 1964 and 1965. She has also worked as a Senior nursing sister in charge of former Kaduna Nursing home which is now Barau Dikko Specialist Hospital, Kaduna.
During Nigerian civil war in 1967, she led a team from the Northern region that helped Markurdi General Hospital to treat casualties of war. After the war in the early 70s, she worked as a senior matron and director of nursing services at the Ahmadu Bello University's teaching services hospital. She was also an external examiner of Nursing and Midwifery Council in Nigeria and she also chaired the Kwara State Health Management Board from 1980 to 1983. In 1985, she retired voluntarily.
As a woman who believes in gender equality of man and woman, she holds chieftaincy titles Iyaolu of Isaluland and Iyalode of Okunland and she has many grandchildren.

Canaan Trade Option, a cryptocurrency investment company/ trading platform with registration number: 13815252 registered by Companies House, Cardiff on 23rd December, 2013 is actively scamming unsuspected investors out of their hard earned money. They achieved this by proposing different crypto currency investment plans on their fake Canaan Trade Option website with different interest rates ranging from 10% to 50% depending on the agreed investment plan. In addition, they promised that the capital and returns of investment can be withdrawn at anytime. However, at the end of the investment, they would seize the initial capital and its returns without authorising payment of funds to the investors. In some cases, they asked the investors to pay a sum of 410 dollars for 'Know Your Customer ', KYC which is a free verification process normally carried out before registering intending investors.

King of Satan, Simon Odo with 59 Wives and 300 Children.
An Enugu State native doctor, Simon Odo popularly known as King of Satan passed on at 74 years with 59 wives and 300 children. He was born in Aji town in Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area of Enugwu-Ezike. The reports had it that he was one of the most powerful native doctor ever lived in that area.
According to his interview on BBC Igbo, he said that his father was a satan, his mother was a satan and his grand-father was also a satan. He called himself "King of Satan", the messenger of satan and because if you slapped him, he would shoot you. He inherited his craft of native doctor from his mother's place. He used to be a Christian baptised in 1956, had his sacrament of confirmation in 1958 and also used to be a mass servant from 1959-1960.
Some people will be wondering why he switched back to satanic worship after tasting christianity. Simon Odo said in his BBC interview, that he joined satanic worship with his father after he was bewitched with tuberculosis and he suffered it for 5 years. Afterwards he was charmed with serious infection on his leg that made him crippled for 5 years. It was very severe that as he was eating, the food was leaving his body through holes in his leg. While searching for solution to his sickness, he travelled to Ijebu-Ode where he discovered that the sickness was not from God rather it was man-made. He was in disbelief that a human being could actually send that to him to destroy him.
As a result of this, he decided to go and learn the craft in Ijebu-Ode for complete 7 years. When he came back to his village, he became a native doctor and very popular that if someone brought money to him to kill or bewitch anybody, he would refuse to do that. He said that his own native doctor is not for bringing people down.

What Pastor Paul Enenche of Dunamis Church knows about Nigerian Gospel Singer Osinachi
The death of popular Nigerian gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu on Friday, 8th April, 2022 at National Hospital, Abuja has generated lots of controversies. The 'Ekwueme' crooner was said to have died as a result of throat cancer which her elder sister, Favour Madu dismissed during her interview withVanguard newspaper. She alleged that her sister died as a result of cluster of blood in her chest after she was kicked by her husband, Mr. Peter Nwachukwu.
This has generated lots of reactions and questions from Nigerians asking why her church, Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Abuja tolerated domestic violence of such magnitude. This has led to the founder of Dunamis church and Senior Pastor Paul Enenche to share what he knows about Osinachi Nwachukwu. According to him, about 2 and half to 3 months ago, Osinachi came to see him together with her husband with complaints of chest pain and respiratory distress. Pastor Enenche said that he prayed and prayed and prayed again. When the symptoms did not abate, he counselled that they go to a hospital to know exactly what she was dealing with and he also facilitated the process of further investigation at various health facilities in Abuja.
He went further to say that it was second night of his Dunamis crusade in Cameroun that he got to know about the unfortunate incident of her passing. If there was any domestic violence that coincided with the symptoms that she came with 2 and half to 3 months ago when she met him that there was no way he would have known. Also if there was perennial domestic violence that there was no way that he would have known either.

Nollywood actress Rita Uchenna Nkem Dominic Nwaturuocha fondly known as Rita Dominic got married to her prince charming, Fidelis Anosike on April 19th, 2022 in Imo State. Fidelis is a 56-year old son of a police officer who hails from Umueri in Anambra State, Nigeria. His father passed on at age 52 while his mother lately passed on in 2021. Fidelis Anosike is a graduate of Creative and Applied Arts from University of Benin bagging Bachelor of Arts degree. Fake medical doctor used Fake Bank Alerts to dupe her unsuspected Victims
A 29 year old lady Rekiya Beda from Kwara State who posed as Dr. Amina and claimed to work at National Hospsital Abuja has been defrauding unsuspected traders of their goods and money using fake bank alerts. She is a 200 level medical student drop-out of Bayero University, Kano and has been moving from state to state duping shop owners especially those selling mobile phones and electronic gadgets. She produced doctors' scrub with her name inscribed on it and specialised in making payments with fake bank alerts. Finally, the lady has landed in the custody of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) in Abuja.
How 5 year old Hanifa was murdered by her Teacher and Proprietor of her School
The 5 year old Hanifa Abubakar was abducted on the 4th December, 2021 by her teacher, Abdulmalik Mahammed Tanko who was also the proprietor of a private school, Noble kids School in Kano State, Nigeria. He demanded a ransom of N6million from her parents for her release. However, after receiving part of the N6million, Abdulmalik Tanko poisoned Hanifa with rat poison and buried her in a shallow grave in the school compound. He was arrested and remanded by Nigerian Police.
