Ooni of Ife's wife walked on blood as tradition demands

Ooni of Ife's wife stepped on blood

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi, a chartered accountant, a real estate developer and a successful business man ascended throne on 26th October, 2015. Unfortunately he has recorded two failed marriages but has recently taken his third wife by name Prophetess Naomi Morenike Shilekunola, the founder of En-Heralds Ministry. The new marriage was contracted about 14 months after Oba Adeyeye's marriage with Wuraola Zaynab Otiti Obanor ended.

The palace of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi has reacted to controversial claims trending on social media that his new wife, Olori Prophetess Naomi stepped on blood as part of her marriage rites last week Thursday, October 18th, 2018.  He stated the red liquid spilled on the ground was cam wood traditionally known as oosun which represents a significant sign of purity and fruitfulness in Yoruba tradition. He went further to say that there no where in Yoruba tradition where the bride is required to step over blood as part of marriage rites.
